What is the purpose of this FAQ?

• To clarify the laptop quality and ordering process

How will I know that my laptop has been ordered?

• You will receive a proof of purchase (POP) from the procurement department. 

 What type of laptop will I receive?

• Lenovo 15 inch HD Full HD, with Windows 11

Can my Lenovo laptop be substituted for another brand? 

• Yes it can. Lenovo laptops can be substituted for Lapbooks, or Acer brands. Laptop purchases are sensitive to pricing and supply and demand pressures, so we reserve the right to substitute an alternate brand if necessary.

What are the basic specifications of laptops supplied by the company?

• 15.6" Full HD, 8GB, 256GB, with Windows 11 

Approximately how long from the date on which my laptop is ordered will it take for it to reach me?

• Laptops usually take 3-5 working days for delivery, from the date of ordering 

What happens if I do not receive my laptop on the date promised?

• You are entitled to claim the £3.00 for each day that you use your personal laptop, until your new work laptop arrives
• Submit a KITE to get an update on delivery

What happens if my own laptop breaks down before I receive the new laptop?

• Please let us know, so that your new laptop can be expedited
• In the meantime, you will be required to find a substitute laptop to use until your new company unit is delivered.

What happens if my personal laptop breaks down, and I cannot find a substitute  laptop to use?

• You will be required to clock out, and to stop working until your new laptop arrived.

If I stop working until I receive my new laptop will I still be entitled to wages?

• No. You will not be entitled to compensation in the event that you do not work at anytime during the probation period, even if you have a full-time permanent contract.
